Indigo Dye Class at Spirit Weavers

6/30/2017

Indigo hands and hearts filled a two week long immersion in Southern Oregon at the the 5th Annual Spirit Weavers Gathering : A Embrace of the Feminine and Ancestral Ways
I was pleased to offer  a class on how to create your own indigo at home inspired by the traditional vats of Morocco & India. We dove into the magical and ancient realm of a True Indigo and together we shared in the alchemy of applying color to cloth.

Studying our ancestral up bringing is really important, especially since we are arriving at a much more modern civilization. However, I do not think that many think the same way. In my opinion, we should always look back at what history has told us. It is easy for people to just dismiss the events that have happened in the past, but not for me. We can gain a lot of insights and answers just by studying and reading about what has happened in the past.
